Being interested in how reading & writing experiences shifted in the digital era, in collaboration with Tatiana Ermolaeva, I created two digital writing tools in Java and JavaScript, that aimed at changing the principles of writing that we’re used to. The first tool is connected to a database of synonims, and creates an alternative text as you type, selecting a random synonim for each word. The second tool is developed to keep track of everything that is being deleted while writing, and to gather it as a separate piece of text. With the help of these self-made softwares, I wrote a short essay on the psychological impact that digital world has on humans, and the new wave of evolution of perception that follows.
